Thanksgiving Day

We spent thanksgiving day at my (Erin) parents' house. I had dressed Miles in an adorable festive fall outfit; however, when we got to my parents' house, he decided to soil that adorable outfit (perfectly planned for Thanksgiving pictures) and we had to put him in the replacement outfit from the diaper bag.

Grandpa got to feed Miles his rice cereal (which was quite comical). It must be disappointing to watch everyone eat such a wonderful meal and then have to eat rice cereal yourself.

Taking a little post Thanksgiving nap with daddy.

My dad's gianormous helping of apple pie (his favorite that my mom doesn't make for him very often).

I also planned to take pictures of the 4 generations living on my mom's side of the family that day because we would all be looking nice. We still took pictures, but Miles was not in his planned attire and then we all (namely my mom and me) got the giggles, so we didn't get the best pictures. We will have to try again soon.

Okay, maybe it was a little bit more than the giggles. :o)

Five Months

Okay Auntie Lauren. I've finally gotten a chance to sit down and post some five month pictures for you to enjoy while you are resting and getting better. I took his 5 month pics at my Nana's house and forgot his monthly frog doll. So, I'll have to take more (SOON) for those, but here are some for your viewing enjoyment in the meantime.
Ooooh, a camera with buttons. I want to play with that.

Okay, my feet are almost as much fun to grab.

And this one captures my wonderfully chunky thighs (please don't laugh at them).

At Five Months, Miles:
  • Still doesn't laugh a lot, but he smiles all the time.
  • Talks all the time and squeals in delight.
  • Loves sitting in out laps.
  • Has crazy strong abs and tips himself forward all the time while sitting propped up.
  • LOVES his rice and oatmeal cereals and eats like a pro.
  • Puts EVERYTHING in his mouth.
  • LOVE his exersaucer.
  • Loves his activity mat, but only on his pack as he still hates tummy time.
  • Love bath time and kicks and splashes all over.
  • Can roll over from his back to his tummy.
  • Loves to grab his feet and roll around.
  • Sleeps through the night.
  • Is getting more hair (which is very blonde).
  • Loves to surprise his mommy by not being in the same place that she left him in his crib.
  • Has his mommy and daddy wrapped around his little finger. (But he's too sweet to take too much advantage of that one).

Rolling Over

Miles rolled over from his back to his stomach yesterday. He'd been really close to doing so for a while but couldn't quite figure out how to get his arms out of the way. We'll he figured it out on Tuesday. And then he promptly spit up all over himself. :o)
And, since a post just isn't a post without some pics, here are a few.

Mommy finding a giant leaf during our walk in the unseasonably warm early November weather and getting a little silly. No Miles' head isn't that small, the leaf is just very large.

This hat is pretty much too small now, it doesn't want to stay on his head and I had to keep fixing it the entire walk. He had fallen asleep at this point and looked too cute with his hat all cocked to the side.

October Photo Catch Up

Okay, this is the photo catch up from October. So, yes, I'm a little bit behind on my blogging. What else is new? If it didn't take so long to load all of these pics, I might be able to do it more often, but oh well. Enjoy a random collection of Miles pics from the month of October.

I love how he looks like a celebrity going incognito in this one with his hat and glasses.

Fun games bouncing on mommy's legs.

I love this onesie. He out grew it WAY too fast.

There is a story behind this one. I had taken the extra outfit out of the diaper bag and totally forgot to replace it. Well, at church one Sunday, Miles blew up his outfit (mostly his onesie but a little on the overalls too) and Ryan went to get a new outfit for him but there was NOTHING in the bag. OOOPs. So as Ryan put it, Miles was rocking it Dennis the Menace style that Sunday.

Discovering toys with our mouth. Miles is really grabbing onto EVERYTHING these days.

All dressed up for a funeral.

More toys in the mouth.

Another story behind these pics. I put Miles in the sling so that I could vacuum one day and he started to slump over a bit so I looked at him and he had fallen fast asleep all hunched over. So of course I had to go to the bathroom mirror to take some pictures.

Happy Belated Halloween

Miles was a Pea Pod for Halloween, but he wasn't too thrilled about his costume, so I don't have a lot of pic of him in it. I do have a couple of Halloween related photoshoots included to make up for it though.

For some reason, this next series of 4 pics loaded on the blog backwards, so imagine them in reverse order.

So I bought this cute little one size fits all pumpkin hat for Miles and the stupid thing doesn't fit. So it is literally just sitting on his head. Gotta love those socks though and all those ROLLS.

4 Months

I can't believe that it has been four months already. Miles is getting so big and making new discoveries everyday. Please enjoy this installment of the monthly onesie photoshoot.

The above pic is a bit blurry, but I love his expression and the giant glob of drool cascading down his chin.

At Four Months You:
  • Weigh 17 lbs 12 oz. (No people, that is not a typo.)
  • Measure 25 1/2 inches.
  • Seem to "talk" more everyday.
  • Are grabbing everything you can get you hands on (including mommy's neck skin and your pant legs).
  • Are trying to put things into your mouth (though usually your own hand is all that actually makes it into your mouth).
  • Have rubbed a nice bald spot on the back of your head.
  • Are still very stingy with your laughs but you smile all the time.
  • Still don't love tummy time very much, but will play on tyou back on your playmat for quite a while.
  • Love playing airplane and bouncing on mommy's legs.
  • Are so close to rolling from your back to your tummy (and are already rolling onto your side) as your twist your head and body to investigate the world around (and behind) you.
  • Still love your bouncy chair, but for much shorter periods of time.
  • Are an expert kicker (which usually results in sockless feet).
  • Love to surprise mommy and daddy with where we'll find you in your crib as you twist and move yourself all over.
  • Are definately cuter everyday.
