Photo Shoot with Kristin

We have the coolest neighbors ever. We are so blessed and when we do eventually move (not looking to do so in the very near future though, one major life change at a time) it will be very hard to leave such an amazing family of neighbors.
My neighbor Kristin Fennema did a photo shoot for us a couple of weeks ago. She did a great job and here is a sampling of the photos that she took. Yes, you now get to see the uncovered belly. Please don't laugh at my volcano belly button.

I love the contrast in this one.

This is not a maternity shirt so please excuse the fact that the button on the shirt looks like it is about to pop open. I have come to the sad realization that my pre-baby clothes are not going to be fitting again any time soon. :o(

I love the skin tones in this one. And, yes, my belly button really does stick out that far. Yuck!

Kristin's mom Sheila is also amazing and has make the valance and throw pillow for the baby's room (which you will get to see in the next post when I include nursery pictures) as well as some nursing shawls for me and amazing summer weight baby blanket. I can't tell you how much the Lord has blessed us by our neighbors not to mention amazing friends and family who have been amazingly generous and supportive as well.

37 plus Weeks

Since my darling sister Ashley so sweetly responded to our last post requesting a more recent picture, here it is, just for you Ash. Sorry it took me so long. Also, just for you mom, I figured out how to make the pictures larger as well.

Okay, so with just 2 weeks to go until my due date I am blessed to be feeling pretty well. I do tend to forget how large my stomach has gotten though and find myself running into things with it or trying to squeeze thru as space too small for my stomach (particularly my bedroom closet) and generally getting stains on my shirt that I can't see and don't know about until someone points them out to me.

As reality sets in of how soon this baby will really arrive, Ryan and I (but mostly Ryan) have been kicking it into high gear to finish all of the preparations for his or her arrival. I will try to post some pictures of the nursery this week as well. It is almost done, my awesome friend Heather is coming over to help me finish organizing and then it will be clean enough to be presentable for pictures.

And, as promised, here I am at 37 plus weeks.

Hope you like the pics. I should be getting the disc for a pro shoot that my neighbor did for us last weekend so I can post some of those pics too. They turned out super cute.

Lack of responses

As Erin and I were looking over our blog we were noticing the severe lack in response that we have had. Dee Mathison has been our best reply person and for that we thank her. The rest of you have fallen by the wayside. We enjoy posting our blogs to let everyone know what is going on and to keep our family and friends involved. We also enjoy reading your responses. You don't have to write a novel, just a few short lines from time to time to let us know you stopped by. I have been the most put out. It is not easy being this funny and I want to know that it is reaching my audience. Now you have your mission, leave us a note when you stop in. We will be watching to see how everyone does. Thank you for your time and understanding.
