Wow, where did the time go?

Wow, life has been extremely crazy lately and I haven't had time for much of anything, let alone blogging. So, for the few of you that actually look at this blog occasionally, please accept my apologies. Here are a couple of pics of the little man. He is growing like crazy and doing fun new things almost every day. I'll try to make time to post a few more in the coming days, but for now, it is very late and I'm headed to bed. Enjoy.

Future Preacher

Miles has gotten very animated and tells "big stories" with lots of hand gestures. It is very cute. Wish I had it on video, but the pictures series will have to do.

Making Mischief

With all of the toys that I brought to Silver Lake for Miles, it figures that his favorite thing with which to play would be a bag of old tupperware. But, that is okay, because I like anything that is safe and can entertain him for more than 5 seconds.

More Bed Head

One morning while on vacation at Silver Lake, Miles woke up with some awesome bedhead. Sorry for the dark pictures. It is a miracle that I'm even finding time to post these (thanks to rain and storms keeping us from spending the day a the folk fest in East Lansing) but I definately haven't had time to brighten them up in PS.

First Spaghetti Dinner

Summer has been surprisingly crazy, so as you can see, I'm WAY behind on posting anything. I have a lot to post (Turning 1 year, First Birthday party, Trip to Silver Lake, etc...) but what I lack is time to patiently wait for Blogger to take a year to upload my photos. I'll try to get on posting them soon. In the mean time, here are a couple from Silver Lake from Miles eating his first spaghetti dinner. What a mess. And apparently, there is also a sneak preview of Miles first birthday, because evidently I selected the wrong image. Enjoy.

Bedhead

Miles' hair is starting to get a lot longer and as a result he sometimes wakes up with some serious bedhead. The other morning, his hair was particularly interesting, so I had to take a few pictures and the little camera ham decided to indulge me with some silly faces.

11 Months

Please excuse the less then stellar pictures, but at 11 months, it is hard to get a good picture of this child (unless by accident). He is constantly on the move. I tried to contain him in a basket (actually I tried two different baskets) and he quickly escaped. Oh well, the point is to chronical his growth right?

At 11 Months Miles:

• Weighs somewhere in the 22 lb area.
• Has 2 teeth and 2 more on the way (actually I was 1/2 a week late taking these pics and you can see the top teeth starting to poke through in this last picture).
• Is crawling everywhere and climbing up everything.
• Loves to bang the cupboard doors and the drawers open and shut.
• Loves to eat EVERYTHING (although he wasn't too sure about asparagus the other day) and shovels it into his mouth.
• Can do "So Big".
• Flirts with people when we are out running errands.
• Would LIVE in the bathtub if we'd let him.
• Has figured out that he can make people laugh.
• Loves to read (and open and shut books by himself).
• Has learned how to throw a temper tantrum when he doesn't get his way.
• Says Mamma and is pretty close with Dadda and says his own version of Dog.
• Babbles and chatters constantly.
• Is great about being toted on errand or to lunch.
• Is so incredibly fun, this is an awesome age.
  

Not 10 Months Anymore

Before I post the 11 month pics, I figured that I should probably get around to posting the 10 month ones.

At 10 Months Miles:

• Still loves bathtime.
• Is crawling like a pro.
• Loves looking out the window.
• Hates to sit still (which makes taking photos a real challenge).
• Eats breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner.
• Is a great car rider.
• Is a great errand runner (usually quite content and easy going).
• Is very busy.
• Still love the dogs, but now that he is mobile, he has more interesting things to check out (like the radio and every electical cord and outlet in the house).
• Still has no teeth but is SUPER close.
• Is starting to look like such a little boy.

Not 9 Months anymore

Okay, not quite caught up, but getting closer. Here are a few shots from Miles' 9 month "photo shoot". I had to resort to bribery for the first time. He did not want to sit still for photos when there is so much to explore, so mommy had to get out the Cheerios to keep him still enought for a few pictures. The first two are pre-Cheerios, but in the last picture, he definately has a mouth full of them.

At 9 Months Miles:

• Still has no teeth.
• Is crawling.
• Is now chasing the dogs all over the house (poor girls).
• Weighs 21 lbs 6 oz and is 29 5/8 inches long.
• Eats 3 meals plus a snack.
• LOVES Cheerios and cheese (and just about everything else we put in his mouth),
• Says Momma.
• Claps.
• Loves Storytime at the library.
• Loves to sing (or at least listen to us sing). His new favorite song is "Dirty Old Bill".
• Is becoming much more social.
• Definately lets us know when he doesn't want to do something (or wants to keep something that we are taking away).
• Is becomeing much longer and more thin.
• Is SOOOOO much fun.
• Keep mommy VERY busy.
  
  

Not 8 Months anymore

I'm sooooo behind on these monthly posts. I've been taking the pictures, I just haven't found the time to post them. I'll try to catch the rest of them up this weekend if possible. Here is 8 months.

At 8 Months Miles:

• Sits well but doesn't crawl yet.
• Can get up on all fours.
• Rolls ALL OVER the place.
• Still has no teeth.
• Is still obsessed with the dogs.
• Still LOVES to eat.
• Puts everything in his mouth.

Long Time, No Post

Okay, so Miles' 9 month "birthday" has come and gone and I haven't even posted his 8 month pictures. Sorry folks, life around here has been a bit busy lately. Actually, I still haven't even dumped my camera since taking those 8 month pics. When I finally do get around to doing that, I'll have a lot more pics to share (assuming I have the time to wait for the blog to actually upload them), but for now, I'll share a few from Feb. Enjoy.

7 Months

Okay, so I'm a couple of weeks late in posting these, but here are a few pics from Miles's 7 month photo shoot.

At 7 months, Miles:

• Is extremely tactile and wants to touch EVERYTHING.
• Is eating many more veggies and fruits (bananas, applesause & prunes (which were not Mommy's best idea)).
• Is obsessed with the dogs.
• Loves to play (and still loves his exersaucer).
• Stiles really well, but still falls over as he reaches for things.
• Is still a terrible napper.
• Is a drool monster.
• Loves bath time and kicks in the tub and tries to stand up.
• Sticks out his tongue.
• Loves to drink from his sippy cup.
• Is starting to reach for mommy and daddy.
• Still has no teeth.
• Loces to eat.
• Is very social.
• Is still very serious (though we do get a lot more smiles and laughs).
