Six Months

Okay, really Miles is almost 7 months by the time I'm getting this posted. But here are his 6 month photo shoots (yes, there were two, as he wasn't in the mood for sitting for the first one (those are at the end)).

At Six Months Miles:
  • loves to eat (obviously).
  • is beginning to eat veggies (squash as of 6 months).
  • is very close to sitting up, but still working on the balance thing (i.e. falls over easily).
  • loves his exersaucer.
  • is talking a ton with lots of wet raspberries.
  • is sticking out his tongue.
  • is grabbing EVERYTHING, seriously, nothing is safe.
  • loves to explore your face with his hands.
  • is reaching out to pet Libby and Lucy evertime they make the mistake of getting close enough.
  • is laughing a lot more.
  • is grabbing his feet all the time and beginning to suck on his toes.
  • is rolling over from his back to his tummy all the time.
  • is teething (though he hasn't cut any teeth yet).
  • is smiling all the time (though it isn't easy to catch those on camera, since he gets very distracted by it).
  • is wearing sizes anywhere from 3-6 months all the way to 12 months.
  • is finally starting to put up with tummy time for longer periods.
  • is an angelic shopper.
  • is never in the same place that we leave him in his crib anymore.

Big Boy Cup

Miles got some sippy cups for Christmas, so last Wednesday, we gave him a little test run. He was like a pro already. He's not able to hold it up entirely himself, but he sure knew what to do with the spout.

And the world's worst blogger award goes to....

Warning, this post will be rather picture heavy. So the holidays got the best of me and I've been a bad blogger. I can't believe that it has been almost a month since my last post. So here is a month in review.
Lounging on Grandpa Russell's lap.

At Meijer Gardens with Mommy and Daddy.

A visit to the mall to meet Santa. The lighting is there is TERRIBLE by the way and you're only allowed to take 2 of your own pictures, which doesn't give you much time to adjust for lighting.

Getting ready for Christmas.

We had a wonderful Christmas, although it was very busy. Everyone was home for Christmas and Ashley's boyfriend Justin joined us too.
Christmas Day.

Okay, so maybe this last picture was a bit staged, but the first one was genuine.

Playing some Guitar Hero on the Wii with everyone on Christmas night.
The Day After Christmas at Ryan's Taunte's house. Miles was opening gifts and I think he really liked his little stuffed dog from Oma the Great. What do you think?

I caught this sweet moment during the bedtime routine. Ryan was reading to Miles. He is starting to enjoy reading, but we often don't make it all the way through a book before he is SOOOO done.
