The Apple Orchard

On Saturday, we took Miles to the apple orchard and pumpkin patch. He slept through most of it, but since I wanted to take him there specifically so that I could get some pictures in the pumpkin patch, we took him out of his seat (which woke him up) for some pics in the pumpkin patch. We also got some fresh apples to make and freeze applesauce, for a couple of months from now when Miles can try it, some fresh cider and homemade doughnuts. Yummmmm. Being that it was such a nice day, everyone else seemed to have the same idea so this place was CRAZY busy. Oh and we also met another baby just a couple weeks old than Miles whose name was ........Miles. Seriously, when we picked that name, we never heard it being used much. Figures!

Still groggy.

A big yawn for the camera while mommy blinks.

Now for sitting on the pumpkin.

I love the expressions in these next few pictures.

We found a nice little pumpkin, which was just the right size for Miles. I think he likes it, what do you think?

And because we felt like we had not yet tortured our son enough, we had to do a few lying over a pumpkin shots as well.

Okay, I'm bored.

What's that over there???

Ooooooh, that looks interesting.

Three Months

Okay, I'm about a half month behind on finally posting these pics and info, but better late than never I guess.

No, Miles isn't crying in the above picture. He is just talking.

And talking some more.

So, at 3 months Miles:
  • is talking all the time.
  • is loving his hands, especially in his mouth. (I think that we have a thumb sucker here.)
  • is starting to reach for toys on his swing and car seat.
  • prefers to be held in your arms while you walk around the house when he gets fussy. No sitting allowed.
  • is sleeping for 5 to 7 hour stretches at night.
  • loves sing along time.
  • doesn't mind being propped up for short periods of time, but mostrly prefers to be held or to hang out in his bouncy chair.
  • likes to play on his playmat for short periods of time.
  • has pretty well grown out of his 3 month clothes and is wearing 3-6 month sizes now.
  • is smiling all the time now.
  • knows who his mommy and daddy are.
  • is finally starting to take some "longer" naps during the day. (Yes, longer is a relative term.)

Sweeeett Outfit

A little practice photo shoot before Halloween. I love some of these expressions.

Catching up with Lots of Pictures

In an effort to catch you up to Oct, here is a sampling of pictures from September of our little man.
Hanging out on the playmat.
Bath time fun.

Falling asleep on Mommy's lap and looking oh, so cute.

Mommy is trying to take a picture of me in my super cute Pooh overalls but I am NOT in the mood for a photo shoot right now.

Are you ready for this much coolness?????

I'm not sure what this face is and I won't tell you what I think that it looks like.

And finally...... a real smile caught on camera.

My first boo boo. Yes, I did that with my own nails.

Miles: "My arms are attached!"

This past week Miles discovered that his hands were attached to these things and were in turn connected to him. Better yet he learned that he could control them....sort of.

This is interesting.

I feel stange and tingly all over.

It's alive!

Super Miles Away!!

Playtime

Here are a few quick shots of Miles playing on his playmat sometime last week. On this day, he was particularly interested in the giraffe you see hanging above him.

Mom, not that stupid camera again.
Are you sure that thing isn't going to eat me?
