So Erin set up this little blog to keep everyone informed and I thought it only proper to add my two cents. So far things have been going well. Erin has not been sick, but she has been tired. This has translated into Ryan taking over the cleaning of the house, now painting of the house, moving of all heavy things, and lets not forget the fact that Erin hasn't touched the snow shovel all winter. It just doesn't seem fair. I do all the work and yet when we see anyone its always "Oh Erin how are you feeling?", "Erin you are just glowing.", and then in a quiet serious tone "Erin, is 'he' helping out enough". Well I am hear to say that yes "he" is helping out and "he" is also excited. Perhaps more excited. I mean I did have something to do with this and I don't think that I should turn invisible whenever "she" walks into the room. I mean I have been doing so much to help out. I have even grown a sympathy belly, as seen in our other photos, so that Erin doesn't feel alone in this.
Now in a few weeks we are going in to have the first ultrasound. This means that I will know the sex of the baby. I also currently know what the baby will be named whether it is a boy or girl. So, next time we meet I will remember those who are nice to me and congratulate me as well. These will be the people who may have the chance of hearing me slip this information that I know. Its just a thought.
( You should all know that I am totally kidding about all that I said........ I'll never tell the information I know...Erin would kill me before I ever saw our child.)

Ryan,
I feel your pain!!! And I enjoyed your perspective on the whole issue. You are important too. So, having said that, "how are you feeling today?" I will pray for you as you take on the added load of work while Erin is 'nesting' and getting ready for the arrival. Did I catch that the name you selected will fit a boy or girl?? Like Pat, Taylor, Sam...mmmmm, if that is true, that narrows the search to find out the name you selected (I'm sure you are keeping it a secret).
By the way, when I host the shower on April 19th, I'll expect you to come over to shovel the drive and front walk if we get a late snowstorm (smile).
Take care you guys,
Dee Mathison
:)
Thank you Dee. I feel much better now. Actually we have names picked out each for a boy or girl. So I am sorry to say the choices still remain long.
I have the date on the calender and I will be there if it snows.
( I would probably have to come anyway and wait in the car so I could carry any hevy presents ;)
Thank You for stopping by,
Ryan and Erin
bravo Ryan : ) that was funny! i was actually cracking up and made my roomies come read it too... I can feel your pain cause i know what Erin's mood swings are like on a normal basis--so i can only imagine the craziness it must be with her raging hormones!!!! lol..sorry Erin but its the truth : )
Lauren
It's okay Lauren. Despite my "raging hormones", I forgive you for your insensitive comment.
